Privacy Policy
Metal Detector: EMF Meter · DIY Apps Studio
Effective date: October 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how DIY Apps Studio (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use Metal Detector: EMF Meter (the “App”), Android package metal.finder.detector.
1. Information we do not ask you to provide
The App does not require you to create an account. We do not ask you to provide your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, or precise location in order to use the App.
2. Sensor data
The App uses your device’s magnetic-field sensor (magnetometer) to provide metal-detection and magnetic-field readings. These sensor readings are processed on your device for the App’s core functionality. We do not operate a server that receives or stores your magnetometer readings.
3. Advertising and consent by app version
The public build version 1.1.2 (version code 5) does not include the Google Mobile Ads serving SDK, request or display ads, or offer a paid ad-removal subscription. This describes the current build; it is not a promise that every future version will remain ad-free.
Older installed versions through 1.1.1 (version code 4) may still contain Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads. Depending on your device, region, consent choices, and Google’s configuration, those older versions may process information such as:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
- device and app identifiers, including the Android advertising ID where available and permitted;
- advertising and app interaction information, such as app launches, taps, and ad interactions;
- diagnostic and performance information.
Where required by applicable law, the App uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and manage consent choices to preserve applicable privacy choices and the existing conservative analytics collection gate. UMP itself does not serve ads in version 1.1.2. Your available privacy choices may vary by region.
4. Analytics and crash reporting
The App includes Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics. Crashlytics may collect crash reports, stack traces, installation identifiers, device and app information, and diagnostic data to improve reliability. Firebase Analytics may automatically collect app usage and device information, including app interactions, device information and identifiers, and other analytics data used to understand how the App is used and to improve performance and features.
Analytics collection remains subject to the App’s existing conservative UMP gate. In version 1.1.2, Firebase advertising-ID collection and advertising-personalization signals are disabled. This does not mean that no analytics or diagnostic data is processed. Privacy choices can be revisited from Settings when UMP requires that entry point.
5. Third-party service providers
We use Google services for consent management, analytics and crash reporting. Older installed versions may also use advertising services:
- Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads (older installed versions only);
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP);
- Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics.
These providers may process data under their own privacy policies and terms. We do not sell your personal information.
6. Purposes of data processing
Information processed through the third-party services described above may be used to:
- display and measure advertising in older installed versions;
- prevent fraud, abuse, and invalid traffic;
- measure App usage and engagement;
- diagnose crashes, errors, and performance issues;
- maintain and improve the App.
7. Data retention and deletion
DIY Apps Studio does not maintain user accounts or a database containing your magnetometer readings. Data processed by Google services is retained according to the applicable Google service settings and retention policies.
You may be able to reset or delete your Android advertising ID and manage advertising privacy settings through your Android device settings. Where a privacy or consent message is available in the App, you may also use it to review or change applicable consent choices.
If you have a privacy or deletion request relating to information controlled by DIY Apps Studio, contact us using the email address below.
8. Security
We use established third-party service providers and take reasonable measures to protect information handled in connection with the App. Google states that data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK and Firebase services is encrypted in transit. No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Children’s privacy
The App is a general-purpose utility and is not directed specifically to children. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information directly to DIY Apps Studio.
10. International processing
Google and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live, subject to their applicable data-protection safeguards.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, its third-party services, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be published at this page with a revised effective date.
