NFC Reader & Writer · DIY Apps Studio
Effective date: October 7, 2026

This policy describes how the Android app NFC Reader & Writer (package com.diyappstudio.nfcreader) handles information. We do not require an account. For questions, contact diyappsstudio@gmail.com.

NFC tags, QR codes and your library

When you choose to scan a tag, the app processes readable tag contents and technical information on your device. QR and barcode scanning uses the camera or an image you select; decoding is performed on the device with Google's bundled ML Kit. Tag contents, identifiers, entered contact or Wi-Fi details, camera frames and selected images are not sent to our servers by the app. The app does not read bank balances, bypass card security or unlock doors.

Saved records and drafts remain in the app's local encrypted library until you delete them or clear the app's storage. You can export or share selected data yourself; the receiving app or person then handles it under their own terms. History stores operation summaries, not tag contents or tag identifiers.

Google services

The app includes Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics. Usage reporting and crash reporting have separate controls in Settings and start disabled. If you enable them, Google may process app interactions, crash traces, diagnostics and device or installation information to provide those services. We do not add scanned tag contents or text you enter to Firebase events. Google's services may process service and diagnostic data as described in the Firebase data disclosure.

Barcode decoding uses Google's on-device ML Kit SDK. Google may receive technical information needed to maintain and improve the SDK, as described in ML Kit's data disclosure.

The first public release does not include Google Mobile Ads or serve advertisements.

Purchases

If you choose to purchase Pro, Google Play processes the payment. The app receives purchase status to provide and restore the entitlement; it does not receive or store your payment-card details. Google Play handles transaction information under its own policies.

Permissions, retention and choices

NFC is used for tag operations you start. Camera access is requested for live QR or barcode scanning; you can instead select an image. Internet access is used by Google services and Google Play features. You can turn optional Firebase reporting off in Settings. Deleting library items removes them from the device. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes the app's local data. Data already processed by Google is handled under Google's retention policies and is not erased by deleting local app data.

Children and updates

This general-purpose utility is not designed specifically for children. We may update this policy when the app or its service providers change. The current policy will remain available at this URL.
